SNK will release the Steam version of its feudal fighting game Samurai Shodown on June 14, the developer announced. Originally a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store, the Steam version will launch alongside the multi-platform release of Season Pass 3 DLC character Shiro Tokisada Amakusa.

Originally a boss character in the original 1993 game, Amakusa appeared in multiple other games in the series and fights his opponents by attacking them with a gem of power. Amakusa is the third Season Pass 3 character to have been revealed, after Cham Cham and Hibiki Takane. One more character still needs to join the roster, but this brawler will be a guest fighter from Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear series.

Developer Airship Syndicate revealed its latest project, Wayfinder, during The Game Awards on December 8. The online action-RPG doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it’s coming to Steam, PS4, and PS5 with an available closed beta available for sign up right now.

Wayfinder is the fourth project from Airship Syndicate, a studio that was founded by former Vigil Games developers who had worked on the Darksiders series. Since its inception, Airship Syndicate has developed Battle Chasers: Nightwar, the spin-off Darksiders Genesis, and the RPG Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.

The video game adaptation of cult classic manga Sand Land is set to launch on PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S on April 26. Sand Land will launch in multiple versions, including standard, deluxe, and collector’s editions. Preorders for each edition are available now from multiple retailers, and those who buy the game early get access to exclusive pre-purchase bonus DLC.

As part of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, Sega announced that its upcoming game Sonic Superstars will be released later this year on October 17.

The announcement trailer opened up with Sonic and his friends running around. As the trailer goes on, we’re shown traditional Sonic gameplay of him running through tracks and jumping on balloons. The trailer then shows off how co-op will work, with all of the heroes working together to reach the end of the level. But if co-op isn’t your style, you can play against your friends in a battle mode where you can customize how everyone looks.

The PSVR 2 is almost here, and along with it comes some next-gen VR games like Horizon Call of the Mountain, which already has plenty of reviews to check out.

Horizon’s first foray into the world of virtual reality does seem to have mostly favorable reviews, currently sitting at a pretty strong 79 on Metacritic. Reviews do vary though, with some thinking that the game is a great example of what the PSVR 2 is capable of, though others don’t think it pushes the boat out enough.
