Matthew Lillard (Scream, Twin Peaks) and Josh Hutcherson (Hunger Games, The Disaster Artist) have stepped into undisclosed roles in Blumhouse Production’s Five Nights at Freddy’s film adaptation. Deadline was first to report.
The film is based on the game series created by Scott Cawthon. It follows the story of a night security guard at a pizza shop called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Naturally, things go badly. Blumhouse is the production company behind many popular horror films including Get Out, Insidious, and Halloween. Animatronics for the adaptation will be made by the iconic Oscar-winning production company Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
